Bekki grew up in Arkansas and moved to Virginia in her early twenties. She has worked with Dr. Carter as a dental assistant for over 20 years. Bekki is the office Coordinator for RVA Children’s Dentistry. She takes care of billing and all of the administrative tasks involved in helping to make sure you have a wonderful experience in our office. Bekki loves her work and takes great pride in her accomplishments with children.
Bekki is married to Warren, and they are taking full advantage of being empty nesters. She enjoys reading, painting and traveling with friends and family. Most of all, she loves being a wife and mom.
April grew up in New Kent, VA. She has been a dental assistant since 2006, and has worked with Dr. Carter for over 10 years. April’s favorite thing about her job is providing outstanding care to her patients, while making sure that her patients have a great time. She loves seeing children leave our office with a beautiful smile on their face.
April has 3 sons and is married to Travis. When not at work, April spends most of her time keeping up with her active sons and especially loves spending time outdoors as a family. She also enjoys going to the gym whenever she can find time to make it there.
Ally grew up in Charles City, VA. As a child, Ally did not like going to the dentist. She decided to become a dental assistant because she wanted to be part of making the experience of going to the dentist a positive one for children. She takes pride in helping parents navigate their dental insurance and putting a nervous child at ease. She especially enjoys, getting to know the families in the practice and seeing their happy smiles when they leave.
Ally has an adorable, little girl who is her “mini me”. She enjoys spending as much time with her and her boyfriend doing a variety of activities and experiencing life to its fullest.
Ann-Marie grew up in Mechanicsville, VA and has been interested in a career in dentistry since high school. When she started at RVA Children’s Dentistry, she had many years of experience working with children, which made our office a perfect fit for her. What Ann-Marie likes most about her job is having the opportunity to shape children’s attitudes towards the dentist in a positive way.
Ann-Marie lives in King William County with her two sons. She is engaged to Scott G. and enjoys being a step-mom to his three sons. When she’s not at a sporting event, she enjoys exploring all over Virginia with her family. Ask her to see some of the incredible pictures her fiancé takes.
Macy grew up in the New Kent, VA area. She completed a dental assisting program after graduating from high school. Macy previously worked as a preschool teacher and really enjoys working with young kids. She strives to give children a smile they can be proud of.
Macy still lives in New Kent County with her 2 beautiful children, and boyfriend. In her spare time, she can be found hunting, training and field trialing her hunting dogs, or spending time with her family outdoors
Tameka grew up in Hanover County, VA. She recently graduated from Fortis College with a degree in dental assisting. Tameka has always loved working with children. She especially excels in working with children who have special needs. Becoming a dental assistant and putting a smile on children’s faces is just the job for her.
Tameka loves spending time with her 5 energetic boys. They keep her very busy, but in her free time she enjoys cooking, trying new recipes and being outside.
Makenzie grew up in King William, VA. She recently graduated high school with honors, and as a child, she always enjoyed visiting her dentist, Dr. Sobia Carter. Makenzie loves to hear when her patients say that they can’t wait to come back. She wants to help other children to have the same great experience she had growing up.
In her spare time, she enjoys going out on the boat with her friends and spending time with her large family.
Amanda grew up in Mechanicsville, VA. Growing up, Amanda loved going to her dentist, Dr. Sobia Carter. She admired how she treated her patients like family and the exceptional care she and her siblings received. She knew at an early age that she wanted to work in the dental field, and is fortunate to work with her childhood dentist.
Amanda is a student at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in pre-dental hygiene and minoring in business. Amanda loves exploring Richmond with her friends and staying active.
