• Our Response To COVID-19

  • We are so excited to begin seeing our patients again.  We have missed you!

We would like to share with you our plan to keep you and your family safe during your dental visits.

We thank you in advance for abiding by these rules so that we can maintain the safest possible environment for you, your family and our staff.

    Before your appointment:

    • Someone from our office will contact you to confirm your appointment date and time as well as to ask you some preliminary questions before your visit.
    • If you or anyone in your home has or has had the following symptoms in the last 14 days, please let us know.
      • Fever or felt feverish
      • Shortness of breath or other difficult breathing
      • Cough
      • Other flu-like symptoms, such as stomach upset, headache or fatigue
      • Recent loss of taste or smell
      • Been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19
    • Please plan to bring as few people as possible to the dental appointment.

Only one adult per family will be allowed to accompany patients into the office.

When you arrive for your appointment:

    • Please call the front desk at (804)729-8081 to let us know you are here.

We will have you wait in your car until we are ready to see you to minimize your interaction with other people.

    • Only one family member will be allowed to accompany the patients into the office.
    • Temperatures will be taken with a non-contact thermometer on all individuals who come into the office and you will be asked a series of screening questions for COVID-19.  If we have any concerns, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment.
    • While you are in the office, you will be asked to maintain 6 feet of distance between you and other people.
    • At the end of the appointment, our staff will pick a reward for your child to prevent germs from being transferred from child to child as they search through our prize box.

What we are doing to keep our patients safe:

    • We will look a little different when you arrive as we will be using all available PPE (personal protective equipment) at our disposal.
    • We will be screening all staff members every day to ensure that no one has any symptoms of COVID-19.  Any staff members with symptoms will be sent home for the protection of our patients.
    • We have lengthened appointments to ensure that we have time for additional disinfection, as recommended.
    • We will be maintaining at least 6 feet of distance between all patients during treatment.
    • We have increased our disinfection procedures in the office, including more frequent disinfection of doorknobs, computer screens, countertops, etc.
    • Toys, books and magazines have been removed from our waiting area to reduce exposure in high-touch areas.
    • If you need to use a pen in our office, it is yours to keep.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please let us know.
