RVA Children's Dentistry provides services to infants, children, adolescents and individuals with special healthcare needs. We treat each child and their family with respect in a happy, welcoming environment.

Your Child's First Visit
During your first visit, we'll ask you to fill out a medical history form and review this with you. This information is vital in developing an oral health care plan tailored to your child's needs.
Using our findings from the exam, we will determine a treatment plan and go over it together. If you have any questions about our practice, please call us anytime.

Dr. Sobia Carter, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Carter is a board-certified pediatric dentist with a particular emphasis on sedation dentistry and dental care under general anesthesia. A Virginia native, she trained at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland before returning to the Richmond area to open RVA Children's Dentistry.

Pediatric Dentist
Dr. McAuliffe completed her specialty training at VCU, earning her master's degree and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry with a focus on behavior guidance, complex medical conditions, and sedation dentistry. A mother of three and fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, she brings both clinical expertise and genuine empathy to every family she serves.
